We develop and use numerical models of Earth’s atmosphere. These models are used to predict weather and to calculate climate projections. Computations are carried out at the high performance computing centre of University of Tartu.
We have developed numerical weather prediction models used in the Estonian Weather Service. We collaborate with international HIRLAM numerical weather prediction community. Active research field is the importance of aerosols in numerical weather prediction.
